Ampac Acquires Assets Of International Paper's Retail Packaging Facility

Manufacturing operations to remain in Mobile, Alabama.

Cincinnati, Ohio-Cincinnati, Ohio-based Ampac-one of the worlds leading manufacturers of plastic and paper packaging products to the retail and consumer packaging marketplaces-announces that it has acquired the business of International Paper's Retail Packaging plant in Mobile, Alabama.

IP's Mobile bag plant manufacturers paper merchandising bags, paper shopping bags, self-opening sacks (SOS bags), and lawn and leaf bags. While manufacturing operations will remain in Mobile, products will be sold through Ampac's existing sales force. The new Mobile plant, added to existing plants in Cincinnati and Walden, N.Y., offers customers additional product choices and more convenient freight options.
