Ampac Announces Acquisition of TULSACK

TULSACK management and manufacturing operations to remain in Tulsa, OK

Cincinnati, Ohio-Cincinnati, Ohio-based Ampac Packaging, LLC-one of the world's leading manufacturers of paper and plastic packaging products to the retail and consumer packaging marketplaces-announces that it has completed the acquisition of Denmark Products, Inc., doing business as "TULSACK" and "We Package It".

TULSACK is a manufacturer of printed and unprinted paper shopping bags and handle sacks, sold primarily through wholesale distributors for retail, foodservice, grocery, promotional, and many other applications. We Package It is a Master Distributor of plain and customized retail packaging products, sold through retail packaging distributors. TULSACK and We Package it will continue to operate from their respective locations in Tulsa, OK and Sanger, TX. Sanger is just north of Dallas.

Ampac will purchase Denmar from a shareholder group including Dennis Gaffke, Butch Zimmerman, Gary Gabel and Gaylord Container, recently purchased by Temple-Island, Inc. Butch Zimmerman, Denmar's President, and Gary Gable, VP Sales, will continue to lead the Company. The management of Ampac and Denmar have known each other for years. "A combination of the Denmar businesses with Ampac just makes sense," said Zimmerman. "While things won't change for us in Tulsa or Sanger, things will only get better for our customers," he said. Mr. Gabel added, "The opportunity to offer the existing Ampac product line to our customers is a natural extension. With Ampac, we will be able to deliver the most comprehensive line of quality packaging in the industry, including paper bags from plants in Oklahoma, New York, and Alabama, as well as an entire suite of plastic packaging from Ampac's Ohio plant and through its overseas network."
