Ampac Flexibles is pleased to announce that its ShakerPAK package design used for the Patch Perfect coated seed product has been selected as one of 13 finalists in the prestigious PACK EXPO Selects Competition. PACK EXPO Selects is an annual competition held in conjunction with the PACK EXPO Conference that recognizes excellence and innovation in packaging.
 ShakerPAK is a novel package design that features a patented dispensing system for dry solids like seed, fertilizers, ice melt and more. The pouch has an innovative screen system custom designed to dispense product only when shaken. It has a reclosable zipper for storage and an easy carry handle. The unique package allows consumers to dispense product without physical contact with the product or scooping. The ShakerPAK replaced a bulky rigid HDPE container with a flexible pouch that is only 2% by weight of the original packaging providing a tremendous "sustainable" improvement through light-weighting.
Ampac Flexibles has a history of providing solutions to difficult packaging problems with flexible packaging. The PACK EXPO Selects finalist ShakerPAK, is yet another innovative example.
