Ampac Wins FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards
Cincinnati, OH (May 1, 2012)—Ampac, the world’s leader in creative flexible packaging, was recognized for two awards from the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA).
Ampac’s P.S. Aeropostale “Spring for Kids” paper shopping bag won an Award for Excellence in the Wide Web Process, Coated classification. The paper shopping bag shows Ampac’s excellence in photographic reproduction.
A second Ampac bag for P.S. Aeropostale “Happy Fun Day” won for the Wide Web Process, Coated classification, as well as Best of Show for Wide Web. Best of Show is a tremendous honor, recognizing Ampac for its contribution to continuous improvement and excellence in the industry.
According to the FTA, “The objective of the award is to recognize outstanding technical achievement in flexographic printing. Technical achievement is defined as exceptional printing that has an extremely high degree of difficulty or complexity. Also considered is the use of techniques, processes, controls, materials, tooling or equipment that is outside the norm and contributes to the advancement of the industry.” In addition to these award winning bags, Ampac’s Walden, New York facility produces shopping bags for some of the top names in retail.
